Wings-gram -- Number 01 10-28-04 To all on the WINGS Mailing list. I just read through most of the WINGS LIST of LISTS constructed, written, compiled by Ray and Matt. Again, I'd like to congratulate them and thank them for putting in the considerable effort to make all this material avaialable. If you haven't read and saved the material it was posted in rec.art.tv in 6 parts. Also it is available via WWW and soon will be uploaded to and FTP site. Archive and access sites: (coming soon) ftp://ftp.doc.ic.ac.uk/media/tv/collections/tardis/us/comedy/Wings.gz WWW URL -- avaialable now http://www.umich.edu/~messina/wings.html For those in the Fidonet community I have uploaded the file in ZIP format to Howard's Notebook BBS. The file name is wings.zip, it compressed to around 55K and you may call directly to the BBS (816) 331-5868 to download or ask you own system operator to FREQ the file from 1:280/25. Followup messges should probably be posted to rec.arts.tv for the world to see. If you'd like to pass any "family" comments or questions to the mailing list, send them to me and I'll consolidate and send back out. This is not an automated mailing list. I plan to limit the number of messages you receive to save message and connect time for everyone. I won't edit your messages but may consolidate several incoming messages into one larger message before sending to the group. That should save on message time. Usually will plan on no more than 2 mailings to the list per week, unless something time sensitive arrives. Any comments on the W L of L? Other quotes, additions, questions, trivia? Does it seem to anyone else the show has a lot of redheads in the background shots? Not just behind Roy's counter but in other situations and shots? I'll nominate a quote that has circled our household, EMPTY! -- Carlton to Helen in Helen's apartment, holding up his water glass. Annoying but funny. Will Carlton return in this season? "Filmed before a live studio audience" Is it? Seems difficult with set changes etc. And sometimes the laughter sounds canned to me. Anyone have info on attending a taping? Shooting schedule during a typical episode week? A thousand answers bring forth a million questions -- we have to keep Matt and Ray at the keyboard--so again thanks and congratulations on the List of List. Now get back to work.
